My darling 'Bijoks, I am so glad that I had the opportunity to visit with you in June and to eat the kenke and grilled fish and raw pepper sauce you prepared so lovingly for me that day. I'm glad that we spent over 5 hours just talking. Looking back, Im sure you knew it would be the last time we would see, till we meet at Jesus's feet. I'm glad that there is no more pain and you are walking streets of gold, tall and whole. Well, tall black beauty, rest from your labours, your good deeds are speaking for you. DejiDee

To the entire family mourning Aunty Joke's demise: I share the thoughts of William Cowper in his popular hymn "God moves in mysterious ways his wonders do perform; behind a frowning providence He hides a smiling face." It is written in Romans 8:18, "for I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us".
And to you my beloved Aunty Joke: "The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end." Isaiah 60:19-20.
"The shade of death lies upon your face, beloved, But the Jesus of grace has His hand round you; In nearness to the trinity, Farewell to your pains, Christ stands before you and peace in His heart
Until we meet again, rest in perfect peace with the Lord, and rise again in glory. Goodbye Aunty Joke
